Diving in the Deep
South Ari Atoll is renowned for its rich marine wildlife. Cross off another adventure on your bucket list by learning how to dive with our PADI certified instructors and join other certified divers on an escapade into the deep blue where Manta Rays, Whale Sharks, Turtles, Groupers, Surgeonfish, Moray Eels and other pelagic creatures dwell.
Snorkelling with the Serene
The expansive house reef of Dhigurah is your playground so grab your snorkelling gear and venture into the aquamarine waters where Hawksbill, Green Turtles, Reef Sharks, Moray Eels and Manta Rays reside. The reef mantas that dwell here grow to an average wingspan of 3 to 3.5 metres and linger in these waters almost throughout the year, quite a sight for any Thalassophile.
Gliding with Gentle Giants
Given that South Ari Atoll is home to a large number of whale sharks, there is a high chance that on any calm day, you will be able to don your snorkelling gear and swim with several whale sharks. Seeing this ethereal natural phenomena in such close proximity is an experience you will struggle to top for years to come.
Solitude at a Sandbank
The feeling of complete seclusion and quiet at a sandbank is indescribable. Enjoy having a minute island all to yourself with an umbrella for shade and our delicious picnic basket to sate your cravings. Our snorkelling gear is available for you to explore the surrounding reef and end your day with the sight of a majestic Maldivian sunset.
Frolicking in the Form
If conquering the waves is how you get your kicks, take a spin around the island in our jet skis or water skis. And have fun bouncing around on our banana tubes with your family in tow. Want to kick it up a notch? Then go parasailing around the island and get a bird’s eye view of Dhigurah as you glide over its waters.
Fish and Feast
If you feel like firing up the grill under the stars, experience the traditional fishing lifestyle of Maldivians by catching your own snapper or grouper on a traditional Dhoni at sunset and have it barbecued on the beach; an evening of adventure and good food shared with your loved ones.
Cosy in a Canoe
Take a solo trip around the island on a canoe, with the birds overhead and corals beneath you for company. You can even make your way near the spot at Dhigurah shoreline that manta rays frequent and explore the surrounding waters with your own snorkelling gear.
Dance of the Dolphins
How would you like to see dolphins swimming along the side of your Dhoni? Bottlenose and Spinner Dolphins usually travel in small pods in Ari Atoll and swim playfully alongside dhonis.
Sometimes they join ranks with other pods and if you are fortunate enough to be there, you can spot around 50 to 100 dolphins when they merge and occasionally, pilot whales swim beside the dolphins, creating a spectacle that will leave you speechless.
Sparks by the Shore
What could be more romantic than having dinner with your loved one on a Maldivian beach watching the fiery sunset give way to twinkling stars? Our chefs will prepare the meal of your choice and create the perfect table for you to woo your partner. If you wish to stretch on the evening, we will light a private camp fire for you to enjoy in solitude.
